The WAI Corrections Committee is responsible for bringing A.A. into local and state correctional programs and institutions in the Worcester area. Local facilities include the Worcester County House of Corrections, the Worcester County Sheriff's Office Re-entry Program, and the Dept. of Youth Services (DYS) in Worcester. MA Department of Corrections (DOC) state facilities include NCCI Gardner in Gardner, and MCI Shirley in Shirley, MA. The committee works in cooperation with the AA Corrections Committee of Eastern MA (Area 30, aaemass.org).

We are currently looking for A.A. members to support the committee. To volunteer, a background check (CORI) is required at most facilities, and one year of continuous sobriety is recommended.
